MINNESOTA EQUIFEST HELD AT THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIRGROUNDS


Thank you to all of the vendors, volunteers and attendees who were here in October. Without all of you there, this show would not be possible. The dates for 2010 will be October 16 and 17. Put it on your calender and we will see you there!

Events at this year's EquiFest

MRA RODEO

NEW!!! The Minnesota Rodeo Association will be presenting a first class rodeo. Tickets will be available at the Coliseum Ticket Office. Admission to the Minnesota EquiFest is required.
Some of the events taking place will be bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, break away and barrel racing.
Ticket prices are Adults $10.00 Children $8.00
One performance each day. Saturday at 5:00pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm.

Back Again!!!Extreme Cowboy Horsemanship Challange
The Minnesoat EquiFest is proud to again host this event. The North Central Region Extreme Cowboy Association is hosting the Challenge. Challenges have been specifically designed to invite riders of all levels to participate and enjoy the "fastest growing equine sport in the nation". Each horse and rider team will compete on a timed course of 13 judged obstacles. Extreme Cowboy Horsemanship Challenges were developed to encourage people to master their horsemanship skills and develop the relationship with their horse that will help keep them safe, sane and successful.

Presenting this year will be University of Minnesota speakers, Minnesota Farriers Association, Minnesota Mounted Shooters, Cleary Veterinary Clinic, Minnesota Saddlebred Association, Dutch Oven Cooking, Dennis Auslam, Robert Beck, Dana Boyd, Karen Lee, Mary Ruth Parks, Tracy Porter, Richard Shrake, Werner Thiedemann, Dr. Tom Tweeten demonstrating grooming, and Mari Monda Zdunic, demos and lectures, and of course, a great showcase of Midwest vendors.

Join us as we present another great line up of speakers, horses, and vendor booths. This year we will be utilizing the whole floor inside of Warner Coliseum, The Horse Barn, Judging Arena and the Cover-All. There’s something for everyone whether you’re a novice or experienced horseperson, interested in purchasing your first horse or maybe just being a “cowboy” for the day, plan on attending the Minnesota EquiFest.

Learn from experienced equine professionals lecturing and demonstrating at the Minnesota EquiFest. Plan to shop at the vendor booths for the latest in fashion styles for both horse and rider. Check out horses, trailers, gifts, art, Tack Sale benefiting Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation and much more. It’s a great place to start your Christmas shopping.

Great Fun For The Whole Family

Here are some things you should know when planning on attending the Minnesota Equifest.

  • Minnesota EquiFest hours: Saturday, 9:00 am - 7:00pm. Sunday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Minnesota EquiFest office/information: 763-421.5750
  • Daily Minnesota EquiFest Admission: Ages 13 and up: $8.00, 12 and under, Free with paid adult admission
  • A free printed Minnesota EquiFest Program will be handed out to all attendees. This will include schedule, speaker information, vendor location
  • The State Fair requires that all dogs must be on a leash no more than 6 feet in length and under control at all times. No dogs are allowed in the Coliseum or Horse Barn
  • Parking is FREE in the State Fairground parking lot. Camping is available for a fee
  • The Tack Sale is being managed by the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue Foundation. No consignments will be accepted.
